On the 12th October, Parliamentarians met in Portcullis House for the Inaugural Meeting for the Water Pollution APPG. This meeting voted in the Chairs and Officers, and minutes of the meeting can be found here.

On the 5th November, cross-party Parliamentarians joined River Action and Surfers Against Sewage in Portcullis House to learn more about the Water Pollution APPG and upcoming moments for MPs to support, such as the Water (Special Measures) Bill.

We were delighted meet Sir Jon Cunliffe, Chair of the Independent Water Commission on Wednesday 18th June. The event was a key opportunity to raise concerns and influence thinking around the final report.

In February 2026, our APPG Officer, Edward Morello MP hosted a Westminster Hall debate on the Independent Water Commission. Over 21 MPs attended, including the Water Minister, Emma Hardy MP, and opposition spokespeople from the Lib Dems and Conservative Party.
